One of my favorite things about the fall and winter season is the migration of our North American game birds.  I have attached a pencil sketch of a mallard hen I drew last fall.  I used all graphite on a Yupo synthetic paper…it made for an interesting result.  The paper has almost a plastic feeling which is great for blending but does not allow for a lot of layering. I would however recommend the paper for anyone looking for a texture change.  It also works well with watercolor.
