True Destiny

As I was getting ready for work this morning, God gave me an amazing revelation about destiny. So many people, people I know and interact with everyday, spend there lives and energy searching for their destiny. Whether it’s a person, a job, a house, an income level, retirement, a family, or a event…we waste our resources looking for that moment or event that propels us into greatness. I have been so guilty of giving my time, talent and treasure to the great endeavor of finding my destiny and purpose! I believe there is a transition happening in the lives of people around us…God is allowing us to be dissatisfied with that which has taken our time. People are losing the hold they have on the false security given by the illusion of happiness found in a moment in time. I heard God clearly say, “Destiny is not a person, a place, a thing, a moment, or an event; but destiny is the culmination of all the “yes’s” in your spirit toward God!” In other words, when we say “yes” to God we are walking in our destiny. It is not a matter of place, or position, it is not judged by fame or by quantity. It is judged in the mundane and quiet act of simply surrendering to God. Paul himself said that he counted all things as rubbish compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing God! So be free today, lay down comparison, lay down ambition, lay down striving, and begin to say yes to Jesus Christ!

May the culmination of your time, talent, and treasure be summed up by the “yes” in your spirit toward Jesus Christ!
