When it comes to people who inspire greatness, I tip my hat to John James Audobon. If you are a part of the birding and wildlife art world the sound of his names brings a flood of bird images to mind; images that transformed our understanding of birds and their distinctive characteristics.  If you are unfamiliar with him, just google his name to see his beautiful works of art.  He was the first to travel America and catalog the vast species of birds across our nation! What an accomplishment!  Every birder in the world is indebted to his comprehensive work!

This rendition of a Common Pheasant was created in Adobe Illustrator using vector paths. I know, I’m a freak… worst part is, I drew it because I wanted too…i.e. no client.  The finished background effects are done in Photoshop.  enjoy!
