Purpose
My company (originally Peel) began as purely a design company (er…one guy–me) back in 2005. My goals was to offer graphic design services to small companies…helping them to establish a strong, positive presence in their area of expertise. I found much success and grew tremendously. When the economy turned south in 09 I felt led (or desperate) to change pace and entered the white collar 9-5 world. I currently work for a fantastic architectural and engineering firm doing what I do best…being creative!
The purpose for my freelance work has shifted. I am expressing my creativity in ways that satisfy both my desire to create and the relationships around me. With that said, I’m still freelancing, but I am focusing on logo brands, fine art, photography and illustration. If you have a project that needs my attention, please email me.

About Me
My name is Phillip Ortiz and I am the owner, director, designer, photographer, illustrator, and artist for this gig. that’s right…I do it all. I reside in the Midwest with my beautiful wife of 8 years, my daughter, and my son! I love creativity…I breathe it, I eat it…I am wrapped up in it! This website is my means to express that creativity, to have a creative impact, and to share my mind with anyone who wants to look in it. ( I also want to show a portfolio of the creative work I have done and am currently working on…but that’s a lot less romantic.) So enjoy and visit often! For those of a more sophisticated nature, I graduated from the Art Center Design College with my degree in Advertising Art. I have won various awards throughout the years and I have been a published illustrator since 2003. You can view some of my published illustration at Innovation-america.org. I’ve also designed logos published in the Logolounge Master Library collection: 3000 Initial & Crest Logos Volume 1 in 2010.
